Naysayers

The Naysayers are a group of monsters found in Super Monkey Ball Adventure. They look like clowns, and they block your path. Their goal is to suck joy out of the five monkey kingdoms. Defeating one will give the world a small amount of joy on its counter.

Spinning Naysayer

"Vulnerable when dizzy."
This naysayer is the first you encounter in game, in front of the king's gate in Jungle Island and first puzzle realm. To defeat it, run into it immediately after it stops spinning to attack you while it's dizzy. Waiting too long will cause it to recover and attack you again.

Boxing Naysayer

"Wait till it drops its guard."
This naysayer is first encountered on Distant Island, and must be defeated by using Boxingball. Rolling towards it will cause it to attack you, and cannot be defeated unless punched in its target on its body. After its two attemps to attack you, it will throw its arms up in an attempted smash attack. When this happens, punch it with Boxingball, and it will be defeated.

Wind Naysayer

"Sometimes eats more than it can swallow."
First encountered in Moonhaven, this naysayer will suck your ball in, then spit you out. You must learn Scalarball first in order to defeat it. While it has you sucked in, use Scalarball to grow and destroy it.

Fire Naysayer

"Its own worst enemy."
Least seen naysayer, Fire Naysayer is only seen once in Moonhaven and Kongri-la. In order to defeat it, Woodball must be used. When approached, it will breathe fire, which will cause you to be unable to come near. Use Woodball to endure its flames. Once it stops breathing fire, approach it while on fire to defeat it. Repeat this two or three times.
