Palette
Palette (パレット Palette) is a character in the Super Monkey Ball series. She is set to make her debut in Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble. She is an adventurer searching for the Legendary Banana.
Appearance
Palette has red-brown fur and a long, thin tail. She has large, pointy ears and blue-black eyes. She wears a yellow Japanese maid outfit. She has a thin piece of hair sticking out the top of her head, similar to AiAi's, but thinner.
Role in Games
In Super Monkey Ball: Banana Rumble
Palette is searching for the OOPArts for the Legendary Banana, in the hopes that it will help her reunite with her father. She first encounters the gang hanging out on Juicy Island, and takes AiAi's banana, telling him he has to catch her to get it back. AiAi catches her and she gives him his banana back. She then explains the situation to AiAi and the gang, and they agree to help her. She grows more attached to the gang as their adventure continues.

As the plot continues, Palette and the gang are intercepted by Easel, who turns out to be Palette's father. He reveals that she is, in fact, a Phantom Thief, and takes the collected OOPArts, along with taking Palette against her will. When the gang meets up with her again, she admits that she is in fact a Phantom Thief, and apologizes for not mentioning it sooner. Upon learning that her father's unusual behaviour is caused by the OOPArts corrupting him, she and the gang set out to undo his corruption, which has not affected Palette due to her pure heart.
After freeing her father from the spell of the OOPArts, she declines his offer to continue being a Phantom Thief by his side, instead stating that she would rather remain an adventurer with the gang, and thus joins the gang permanently.

Like AiAi, Palette is a fairly balanced character with a bit more stock placed into her Speed and Spin stats. As a tradeoff, her acceleration and control are slightly looser, making her a comfortable choice for players with a handle on higher-speed gameplay.
