Monkey Fight is a Party Game in Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania. Monkeys in their balls face off against each other, in a variety of arenas, armed with a boxing glove on a spring.

Overview

4 monkeys fight each other in an arena. The objective is to knock opponents out of the ring, which is accomplished by punching them with gloves. At the end of each round, a winner is declared, and the first monkey to achieve a certain number of wins is the overall winner. There are 2 game modes:

Normal

In Normal mode, the winner is determined by who scores the most points within the time limit. A small amount of points is awarded for punching an opponent, and a larger amount of points is awarded for knocking an opponent out of the ring. If there is a tie at the end of a round, a sudden death occurs, in which Survival mode rules apply. Powerup items spawn to assist the monkeys, each with their own effect.

Survival

Survival mode is a last man standing battle. Once a monkey is knocked out, they are eliminated, and the round is one by the last monkey remaining. Items do not spawn, though oddly the "how to play" menu still mentions them. The arena slowly crumbles away as time passes, except on Cold Ice Octagon and High Flying UFO Circle.

Settings

• Victory Condition - how many round wins are required for a victory
• P1-4 Handicap - changes the number of points the selected player scores
• Items - determines whether items will appear in Normal mode

Controls

Nintendo Switch and Xbox One & Series X/S version:

• Control stick - Roll the ball
• Right stick - Punch in the direction inputted
• A button - Punch in the direction you're facing
• B button - Charge up a powerful punch, release to unleash

PlayStation 4 and 5 version:

• Control stick - Roll the ball
• Right stick - Punch in the direction inputted
• X button - Punch in the direction you're facing
• Circle button - Charge up a powerful punch, release to unleash

Windows version:

• W, S, A and D Keys - Roll the Ball

Stages

Stage	Description
Square Jungle Ring	A jungle based ring with ropes hanging on the left and right. Aim for the areas without rope and knock your foes out!
Exciting Puzzle Ring	A ring with walls in 3 different directions. Punch the walls and break them down to reveal items!
Amazing Flower Ring	A ring surrounded by 12 flower petals. Punch the petals to break them down!
Cold Ice Octagon	An icy ring with several smaller walls around the course. Punch these palls so they don't get in your way!
High Flying UFO Circle	A ring atop a round UFO. There are no walls here, so take care to avoid your opponent's attacks!

Items

• Long Punch - extends the range of the punch, allowing to hit opponents from further away.
• Iron Punch - increases the strength of the punch, causing it to knock opponents back further.
• Spinning Punch - allows the user to swing their glove around them by holding the punch button.
