Monkey Baseball is a Party Game in Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania.

Gameplay

Before each inning begins, a roulette wheel is spun to determine the layout of the outfield, as detailed further down on the page. The batter takes position at the home plate, and prepares to bat. The pitcher, or rather the ball takes position, and can move left and right before rolling towards the plate. They can swerve to the left or right as they approach the plate, and speed up or slow down. Meanwhile the batter can move around to position themselves to attempt to hit the ball. As in normal baseball, each throw has 4 possible outcomes, a hit, a strike, a foul and a ball. 3 strikes are an out for the batter, and a foul counts as a strike, but the batter cannot be struck out by a foul. 4 balls (improper "throws" that the batter doesn't swing for) nets the batter an automatic single, and a hit can either lead to advancing on the bases or the batter being out.

In the outfield, there are 4 gates representing outfielders, which the pitcher can change the arrangement of. There are also 9 pockets the ball can be hit into, with each having its own outcome. Ramps appear on the outfield, and hitting a ball up a ramp nets the batter a home-run. Failure to get the ball into a pocket, or the ball going into an out pocket results in an out for the batter. 3 batter outs causes the teams to change sides (the bowling team becomes the batting team) and advances the game. The other pockets can either be a single, a double or a triple, in which each active baseman on the batting team advance either 1, 2 or 3 bases, scoring a point if they return to the home plate, which is the 4th base. When the batter hits the ball, the pitcher can move the "outfielders" left and right to try to stop the ball in its tracks.

After the selected number of innings have been played, the team with the most points wins. There are 2 modes: Exhibition Mode, in which a single game is played, either against another player or the CPU, and Tournament, in which the player must beat 4 CPU teams in a row to win.
