Excavation Site (アサッテカぶんめい, Asateka Civilization) is the Second World of Super Monkey Ball: Step & Roll. It is considered easy, similar to Monkey Island.

Description

The world takes place around an industrial site with spinning gears and trees. The obstacles in this world are statues, requiring 3 shots to be destroyed in co-op mode, unless using the explosive gun, and shrinking with each shot.

Stages

Like the other worlds, Excavation site has ten stages, nine normal stages and one bonus stage.

Hidden Banana

This banana is known as the Super Sweet Banana. It can be obtained on the last rail of Starship. If the player is going slowly enough, he or she will drop and obtain the banana.

Music

This world music is Spin the Wheel by Inara George.

Trivia

  • The world's Japanese name, アサッテカぶんめい or Asateka Civilization is likely a corruption of アステカぶんめい meaning Aztec Civilization.
  • This world introduces halfpipes and pitfalls.
  • Despite being the second world, the hidden banana is arguably the most difficult one to get, requiring the player to cross over a beam with a width comparable to some of the narrowest beams in Super Monkey Ball 1, but using motion controls.
  • This world's credits game has a platform that has a banana-shaped hole in the middle with four circular holes at the corners.
