World Medal

A World Medal is an award in Super Monkey Ball 3D's Monkey Ball mode. They appear on the mode's world select screen once they are obtained, though they are purely aesthetic.

There are two collectibles in the game that are unlocked by collecting seven of a type of medal.

Bonus Medals

A bonus medal signifies that the player has earned a Perfect on the world's Bonus stage. (In other words, a player must collect all 50 bananas in the stage.)

There are two bonus medals per world, corresponding to the control setting the world was played with. Gaining a perfect with the Circle Pad will give the player a red "C" medal, while gaining a perfect with the motion sensor will give the player a blue "M" medal.

Collecting seven of each medal will grant the player the World Master collectible.

Banana Medal

A banana medal signifies that the player has collected every banana in the world's ten stages without using a continue. This does not include the world's banana collectible, as some levels (notably Super Slider) do not allow the user to collect all bananas and the collectible itself.

Collecting seven of this medal will grant the player the Banana-phile collectible.
