Serial Jump is a stage that first appeared in Super Monkey Ball 2 as the 41st Expert stage in Challenge Mode, and as World 9-1 in Story Mode. It is given a 10/10 difficulty rating.

In Super Monkey Ball Deluxe, it appears as both the 79th Expert stage and the 229th Ultimate stage in Challenge Mode, and also as World 9-1 in Story Mode.

In Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania, on top of sharing its stage positions with Super Monkey Ball 2, it is also the 101st SMB2 Marathon stage.

Description

This stage features eighth inwardly sloped rings, between which the player has to leap across. Each ring has a mark on it, which tells the player where to take the leap from. In descending order, the rings go straight, then right, left, left, straight, left, and left, where the last ring sits below the second ring. An additional platform sits between the starting platform and the first ring.

The blue goal is placed on the second ring, the green goal on the fifth ring, and the red goal on the eighth and last ring. The blue and green goals are accompanied by two bananas each, the red goal by four banana bunches. The first ring also has two bananas on it.

Goal Tutorial

Blue Goal

To get to the blue goal, go to the right or to the left on the first ring. If you go to the left, you will have to roll directly into the goal. Whichever way you take, make sure to have enough momentum to stay on the ring. Jump off onto the second ring with not too much momentum because you will bounce over the goal or slide off the ring but not too slowly because you will not make it period.

Green Goal

Keep jumping off the rings until you are on the fifth ring. Make sure you jump where the jump marks are located as they will help guide you to where you should jump. Once you are on the ring with the goal, roll into it.

Red Goal

Repeat the same pattern as the green goal strategy, except jump until you are on the eight and final ring. Once you are there, roll into the goal.

Shortcut

At the beginning of the stage, on the starting platform, if you tilt to the right of the platform and stay at the right, going forward with a little adjustment, you will be able to get into the red goal without serial jumping as you would normally.

Changes in Banana Mania

The guiding markers have been removed from the Challenge Mode version of the stage, but not from the Story Mode version. Because of this, the stage is no longer the same between the two modes.
