Mysterious Banana Tree

The Mysterious Banana Tree is a feature in Super Monkey Ball Banana Rumble. It is unlocked after beating the main story in Adventure mode. Points, which can be earned by clearing levels, beating missions and collecting bananas, can be given to the tree to make it grow. The player is warned that they will not receive any reward for doing so, although a single mission requires giving points to the tree at least once. The tree can be accessed by pressing Y while on Juicy Island.

Growth

Every 100 points given to the the Mysterious Banana Tree causes it to gain 1 level. It has 5 stages of growth, each achieved after reaching a certain level, which are as follows:

Upon being unlocked, the tree will be at stage 1, resembling a sapling
Upon reaching level 100, the tree will reach stage 2, resembling a young tree
Upon reaching level 300, the tree will reach stage 3, where it will first start to sprout unripe bananas
Upon reaching level 600, the tree will reach stage 4, where it will have ripe bananas
Upon reaching level 1000, the tree will reach stage 5, where the tree will bear many ripe bananas, and have an elaborate trunk design

When giving points to the tree, which can only be given in multiples of 100, a message will appear at the bottom of the screen stating how many levels the tree will need to gain to reach the next stage. When at stage 5, this message will instead say the tree "may keep growing forever".

Rankings

The tree's current level can be uploaded to an online leaderboard, where the player can see how their tree ranks against other players around the world, as well as see the level reached by the top 100 players' trees.
